Schuco well received at RAF Cranwell

Schuco attended the Combined Services Plastic Surgery Society (CSPSS) annual meeting held at the historic RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire. RAF Cranwell is a busy, multi-functioning station best known as the RAF College, which provides initial officer training. On the 4th October it also welcomed medical officers from all of the armed forces with an aim to share and discuss their experiences as well as new technologies in the medical industry.

Schuco, although attending the CSPSS for the first time, have a long history of working with the Ministry of Defence and the delegates attending were glad to meet with our representatives to see our entire product portfolio.

As usual there was a lot of interest in our range of dermatoscopes. A large part of our troops deployments around the world are for extended times in extreme climates, resulting in sustained periods of exposure to the elements. The EMT Tourniquet (Emergency Military Tourniquet) which performed so well in a clinical paper by Colonel Parker last year received a lot of interest from all who visited the Schuco stand. Its compact size, robust design and proven efficacy drew a lot of praise.

However, it was one of our newest products that stirred the most interest – RegenPRP. Many attending doctors, surgeons and nurses tested our representatives’ knowledge on the product particulary regarding potential applications for the armed forces. Schuco’s Anthony Hubbard was kept busy answering questions and showing pre and post treatment images to all interested professionals.

Schuco had a very successful first visit to the CSPSS and would like to thank Colonel Tania Cubison and her secretary Nicky for organising and running such a wonderful meeting. As always Schuco Bear made a lot of new friends and is looking forward to reuniting with them all at next year’s event.
